Our friends at the Blacksburg Regional Art Association (BRAA) are opening a new art co-op to help artists in the region find a place to work and display their art at the Art Space@The Artful Lawyer at 318 N. Main Street in downtown Blacksburg.

Six high school students from the New River Valley were announced as winners in the national art competition sponsored by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers.

In this April workshop from the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley, Heather Arnold will guide you through the process of coptic binding to create a personalized journal as imaginative as your own thoughts and ideas.

Annually, the Fine Arts Center host the Scholastic Arts competition for the Southwest Virginia region. It is the longest running and most prestigious art competition for secondary students, and the American Visions is the highest honor a student artist can receive.
