2020 Online Gala Auction

Saturday, December 12 (9 am)
Valley Auctions, LLC

For years, the Fine Arts Center’s Annual Gala was a way to connect with members and supporters and enjoy good company with those who support the arts in the New River Valley. The Gala has taken on different forms in different places, but always with the purpose of thanking supports of the Fine Arts Center and providing an enjoyable evening to connect and share. Obviously, 2020 is a different time and is not going to allow us to celebrate in person and thank the many who support the Fine Arts Center and its programs. Just as we’ve turned to safer methods for providing free art kits for children and hosting online art workshops for adults, we have to plan differently for the current year.

The Fine Arts Center is glad to invite you to participate in our first-ever Online Gala Auction. The “online” part is obvious. But with the primary reason of the Annual Gala to connect with arts supporters and to provide support for art programs and to promote artists in the New River Valley, we have retained the “Gala” moniker. The auction may not allow us to gather together in person, but it does provide a way to offer support to the arts programs sponsored by the Fine Arts Center. These programs include free children’s art programs, which have been expanded this year due to our collaboration with the YMCA of Pulaski County, as well as online exhibits and our blog series featuring local artists, Make Art: Artists at Home.

Selections from the more than 140 lots in the auction

This gallery contains just a few of the more than 140 items of fine art, home decor, collectibles, jewelry, fine china, gift certificates, and unique gift baskets we are offering in our auction in collaboration with Valley Auctions, LLC, and experienced and trusted online auction company located in our region. Auction items will be available on the Valley Auctions website beginning Friday, November 27 (“Black Friday”). Be sure to register on the Valley Auctions website on or after Black Friday so you can pre-bid up until the final auction on Saturday, December 12.
