Portal for Scholastic 2025 is open!
Deadline for entries is approaching
Art educators and students in the Southwest Virginia Region can now register online for Scholastic 2025 at artandwriting.org. People with accounts from 2024 should be able to log in with the same credentials for this year’s event.
This year, students compete for national scholarships that vary in size up to $12,500 for Gold Medal Portfolio winners. There are scholarship opportunities and more available for students in every grade. Check out this list. Plus, the Fine Arts Center offers $1,500 in scholarships at the regional level. Those $250 awards go to our five American Visions nominees and the Outstanding Middle School Artist. Student submissions are evaluated on originality, technical skill, and personal vision or voice. Judging begins at the regional level, with standout works moving on to compete nationally. We look forward to seeing the art from our talented young artists in the Southwest Region and celebrating you, your teachers, and your families in February.
