First Fridays Listening Room Concert Series 

The 2026-27 First Fridays series is underway! This popular concert series features a variety of performers from within and around the New River Valley on the First Friday of each month beginning in September. Each Listening Room session is free to the public ($5 suggested donations are welcomed) and include light refreshments and a cash bar. These concerts take place in the Edna B. Love Gallery at the Fine Arts Center, located at 21 West Main Street in the Pulaski Historic Commercial District.

John Hildreth and Kat Mills Perform September 4th, 2026

Join us Friday, October 2, as our Listening Room Concert Series returns to our gallery setting at the Fine Arts Center with John Hildreth and Kat Mills.

These two well-known New River Valley songwriters will team up to share thoughtful takes on their own compositions, along with inventive arrangements of songs by others. Experience their voices, multiple instruments, and an evening of stories and surprises.

John Hildreth is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music can be intimate and expansive, sophisticated and direct. His imaginative storytelling explores wild places, sentient creatures, faraway worlds, ghosts, and the liminal spaces of the heart.

Kat Mills pairs a warm alto voice and vintage Martin guitar with thoughtful songwriting rooted in the folk tradition. Her music contains touches of soul and R&B and a timeless quality that invites listeners to slow down.
