FAC Restarting Classes for Children and Adults

The Fine Arts Center is pleased to announce the relaunch of our monthly Second Saturday arts experiences that will provide safe and healthy opportunities for for children and adults to explore arts topics and techniques. Check out our Classes for more information.

As part of our mission to promote arts education in the New River Valley, the Fine Arts Center has offered its free Second Saturday Arts Cafe for children as well as workshops and classes for adults for a small fee. Like many businesses, the Center has remained closed much of this year, but we are planning to continue classes for children and adults using means that are healthy and safe for all.

Based on the success of our participation in the Pulaski County 2020 Summer Camp, the Fine Arts Center will relaunch the Second Saturday Arts Cafe for children in October. Parents can sign up to pick up FREE art kits from the Center during the second week of the month. Parents and children can complete the kits at home using directions the find in the kit and through an online video. The Center will be open for limited times on the morning of the Second Saturday and the previous Wednesday to pick up art kits. We will also be partnering with the YMCA of Pulaski County as a pick-up site for art kits.

Parents must register to pick up their FREE art kits on our website.

Adult workshops will also begin in October. Adult workshops will occur synchronously through online through a secure Zoom link. Adult classes and workshops have a small fee and may have a fee for materials that can be picked up or delivered. Payments for classes and kits can be completed online or in-person at the Center on the Second Saturday or previous Wednesday. Adults must register to participate in workshops and clases.
