Study with Internationally Acclaimed Watercolor Artist Keiko Tanabe

The Blacksburg Regional Art Association offers a rare opportunity to study with Keiko Tanabe, internationally acclaimed water color artist and author.

The Blacksburg Regional Art Association (BRAA) is offering an opportunity to study with renowned watercolor artist Keiko Tanabe in a safe and socially distanced setting October 17-21 (9 am - 4 pm). This may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many local artists.

Born in Kyoto, Japan, and currently living in San Diego, Keiko Tanabe has had had many paintings juried into exhibitions across the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Her paintings have been published in leading art magazines across the globe, and she is the author of nine art books. Since 2011, she has completed more than 230 workshops and live demonstrations in numerous countries. In 2018 and 2019, she was an invited faculty member for the world’s largest plein air painting event, the Plein Air Convention & Expo. Weather permitting, the workshop will include time for plein air painting.
