Children’s Art Workshops
Classes for Adults
We are continuing our FREE monthly children’s art workshops to help inspire the youngest artists in our region. Because of construction on Main Street, these classes will be held at the Third Street Gym just a block away. The gym is part of the County Administration Building and has ample parking and a large classroom. Check out these upcoming workshops:
December 10 - Making Ornaments (FULL)
January 14 - Snowflakes (wax-resist oil, pastel, and watercolor)
February 11 - Origami Valentines
March 11 - Mosaics
Popular artist and teacher, Ernie Ross, is back with a unique art experience for teen and adult artists. Ernie will be walking participants through a version of his painting, Late Summer Moon, step by step in this unique experience that not only yields a finished painting but introduces many basic painting techniques artists can apply to their own paintings afterwards. Learn more and register for one of his sessions, either on December 17 or January 7.
We’re also glad to welcome Cyndi Maitri for providing multiple wool-felting workshops for beginners. The January class is spread across two dates: January 10 & 12. Her February class covers the same outcomes as the two classes and is offered on February 18.
Cherrilynne Scott will be offering a variety of classes for adults, including Exploring Gouache and Watercolors and a unique experience that is a combination of a class and social gathering and is well suited to teen artists or teens interested in art. Join us for the Art of the Sketchbook and Beginner’s Drawing that begins on January 26.
