Start your summer off right with a free concert and a new exhibit!
Melanie Robinson brings her electric violin and eclectic sound stylings to our FREE First Friday Listening Room at Max on Main on June 3, 2022. Plus local artists L.S. King and Ken Smith have collaborated on a show celebrating Peak Creek that will open on Friday, June 10. Reserve your free tickets for Melanie’s performance on Eventbrite.
Melanie Robinson is a violin teacher who enjoys the challenge of trying to tailor make lessons to reach students of all ages and interests. She has been studying the violin since she was a youngster and lately has begun a busy local performance situation at various gatherings, restaurants, etc. She recently purchased an electric violin that she'll use in her First Friday's performance in the Fine Arts Center's Listening room on June 3 at Max on Main.
Her personal repertoire is one she will share and it is by all means eclectic. Bluegrass, rock, classical, blues, argentine tango, pop, soul, klezmer, are some of the genres she plans to play and discuss. She is interested in showing the versatility of the violin in today's commercial music scene. Reserve your FREE ticket on Eventbrite.
Next week, be sure to stop by the Edna B. Love Gallery at the Fine Arts Center for an artistic journey down and around Peak Creek by local artists L. S. King and Ken Smith. The couple has explored Peak Creek and the surrounding area through the lens of a camera and with paint and canvas. Their show opens on Tuesday, June 14 and a reception and artist talk is scheduled for Friday, June 17.
