Two Days of Appalachian Soul with Aristotle Jones
The Fine Arts Center is thrilled to present Aristotle Jones and his Appalachian Soul Band for two days of music and storytelling that celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Appalachia.
Day 1: ‘Streets of Osage’ Storyteller Performance

Experience Aristotle Jones’ captivating storytelling as he weaves personal family narratives with the powerful stories of black contributors to Appalachian heritage. Rooted in the coal-mining town of Osage, WV, his stories shine a light on the culture and contributions of the region, while delivering a stirring snapshot into his experiences and personal history in Appalachia.
Day 2: Live Concert with Aristotle Jones & the Appalachian Soul Band
Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM
Venue: Pulaski Theatre, 14 West Main Street, Pulaski, VA
Don’t miss this soulful blend of R&B, gospel, funk, and folk, performed by Aristotle’s six-piece band. Celebrate Appalachian culture through music that moves the heart and soul.

Discover the Art of Acrylic Painting with Ernie Ross
Ready to dive into the world of Acrylic painting in 2025? Join us for a six-week course led by local artist Ernie Ross. This workshop is perfect for beginners looking to build confidence or intermediate painters eager to refine their style.
Course Details:
Dates: Saturdays, January 4 – February 8, 2025 (1:00 – 3:00 PM Each Day)
Location: Fine Arts Center, Pulaski
Ages: 13+
Tuition: $115 (Members) | $144 (Non-Members)
This workshop offers a blend of structured learning and hands-on exploration, catering to individual skill levels. Beginners will learn step-by-step techniques to build a strong foundation, while intermediate painters will focus on enhancing their style and tackling more complex compositions with one-on-one guidance from Ernie.
