Celebrate Our New Exhibit: Our Reception for "Polarity" is this Thursday, April 10

Join us this Thursday, April 10, from 5-7 pm for our opening reception for our new exhibition. We could not be more excited for this engaging show, which features work by 42 artists centered around the theme, “Polarity.” The exhibit will remain on display until May 31, 2025.

Polarity exists all around us—in nature, human emotions, art, and the systems that shape our world. It is the interplay of these opposites that defines our experience. These dichotomies, light and dark, chaos and order, geometric and organic, can create tension, but they also hold the potential for harmony. When we pause to explore these contrasts, we discover connections and opportunities to create something more potent than either element alone.

The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley invited artists to delve into the rich terrain of POLARITY by examining the dynamic relationships between seemingly incongruous elements. Through this exploration into polarity, artists challenge the notion that opposites must be at odds and instead consider how they might coexist, evolve, and strengthen one another.
