Eighteen local artists and collaboration groups present their vision of art, altered to tell their story. This exhibit runs from October 13 thorough November 18. A reception with the artists will be held on Friday, October 20 at 5 p.m. The public is invited.
Not every piece of art is intended to have an eternal life. Found, damaged, discarded or simply out-grown pieces have a new life in creative hands. The new artist can add elements, words or objects; remove or replace visual aspects; add objects - found or collected; collage, paint, or alter in any way their personal vision sees.
Altered art is a great way to explore, re-vision and discover. Ultimately all art builds on the creativity of others, integrated into the next generation of creatives. To be human is to create. Altered art is a fun way to explore your humanity/creativity in collaboration with artists from the past.
