Exploring Dualities that Shape our World | A Group Exhibition Featuring 42 Artists

April 5 — May 31, 2025 — Edna B. Love Gallery — Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley, pulaski

about the exhibition

Polarity exists all around us—in nature, human emotions, art, and the systems that shape our world. It is the interplay of these opposites that defines our experience. These dichotomies, light and dark, chaos and order, geometric and organic, can create tension, but they also hold the potential for harmony. When we pause to explore these contrasts, we discover connections and opportunities to create something more potent than either element alone.

The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley invited artists to delve into the rich terrain of polarity by examining the dynamic relationships between seemingly incongruous elements. Through this exploration into polarity, artists challenge the notion that opposites must be at odds and instead consider how they might coexist, evolve, and strengthen one another.

POLARITY will be on view at the Fine Arts Center from April 5 - May 31, 2025. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, April 10 from 5-7pm.
