Join us for this hands-on workshop and get your Van Gogh on! Children up to age 12 are invited to learn about painting with acrylics and one of the world’s greatest painters, Vincent van Gogh. Students will learn about the artist and why it is that he liked to paint sunflowers. We’ll also learn about lines, shapes, color mixing, and composition. At the end of class, each participant will have a finished composition of a vase of sunflowers on a frameable canvas!
This in-person class will be held at the Fine Arts Center. Space is limited to 10 students. Parents are welcome to attend.
We will provide all materials, including paints, one canvas, brushes and a painter’s smock (t-shirt).
