Second Saturday Online Workshop: Pinhole Cameras (March 13 @ 2:00 p.m.)
Turn your digital camera into a pinhole camera for beautiful photo effects.
How did we discover photography? We didn’t always take it for granted, with unlimited access to image making and sharing images online. How does photography work?
Photography is the product of a natural phenomenon called camera obscura. In this workshop you will learn about camera obscura, the origins of photography, and the process of making photographs without the use of a lens. We will work together to transform our digital cameras into pinhole cameras, and create original photos during the workshop. The results will be hauntingly beautiful, dreamlike, and surreal. Best of all, it will be easy and inexpensive. With our digital cameras, we can bring this ancient process into the future, for instant gratification!
Professional photographer David Rehor returns for this third in his series on photography and digital cameras.
This workshop requires a digital camera with interchangeable lenses.
