This class will be an introductory course on creating a beautiful handwritten envelope. Some basic understanding of cursive handwriting is recommended and any experience with calligraphy would be wonderful. This course will show how to use the tools at your disposal to create an envelope that shows your care. So feel free to bring your own tools! Pens, pencils, colored pencils, markers, brushes and calligraphy pens are all welcome!

Our instructor, Colby Cline, will provide you with different layouts to make your letters stand out and provide details on how to make sure your letter makes it to its destination! You will use three different scripts—Copperplate, Italic, and Architects—and how to pair them together to create elegant and timeless designs, all with simple tools! Detailed guides on these scripts will be provided and should make writing a breeze. So, come and learn how to write an envelope like a calligrapher!
