Second Saturday Adult Workshop: The Care and Feeding of Your Digital Camera (Dec. 12 @ 2 p.m.)

Professional photographer, David Rehor, returns to the Second Saturday series to share a topic near and dear to his heart—digital cameras. Whether you own a digital camera and want to know more about it, or you’re thinking about purchasing one for yourself or someone special, this workshop is for you!

David Rehor knows cameras! As a professional photographer, understanding the ins and outs of cameras are his bread and butter. David returns to the Second Saturday series to share his expertise and experience with finding, purchasing, and using digital cameras, whether a DSLR or mirrorless camera. David will review basic operations of digital cameras, as well as helping photographers take more control of their device to create the photos they want to create. And if you’re in the market for a digital camera but have more questions than answers, David is ready to share his advice.

Topics covered in this workshop include:

  • the exposure triangle (ISO, aperture, shutter speeds)

  • shooting modes

  • meter modes

  • focus modes

  • drive modes

  • picture styles

  • white balance

  • choices in cameras and lenses

This workshop is presented online through Zoom. You need a device that supports online audio and video to participate. The workshop fee is $20 and there are no required materials to participate, just an interest in digital cameras.
