Find Beautiful Hand-made Gifts from Local Artists in Our Current Exhibit

More than 10 local wood artists have work for sale or for viewing at the Edna B. Love gallery now through January 6.

Whether you’re looking for the perfect one-of-a-kind gift of art or a practical hand-made utensil or bowl, you’ll find what you’re looking for at our current exhibit, “From the Silence of Wood.” The exhibit features art from or about working with wood. There are hand-made pens, ornaments, bowls, pepper mills, decorations, cutting boards, wall hangings, and more. The items are priced to fit many different budgets.

You’ll also find pieces just for the viewing, such as colorful wall hangings with the taste of jazz brunch in New Orleans to ethereal and evocative sculptures that push the limits of what you might think is possible with wood. There are stories, too, like the wood saved from one of the oldest trees in Virginia that became a remarkable set of turned wood bowls, platters, and other pieces. The collection truly shows a range of possibility from these talented New River Valley Artists
