Jeremy Riffe Exhibit Opens August 10

Come view the work of local photographer, Jeremy Riffe whose photographs capture the range of beauty in and around the Appalachia region. His show will be available from August 10 through September 28 in the Edna B. Love Gallery. A reception will be held for the artist on Tuesday, August 17, with a short artist’s talk at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited!

Plein Air Paintout on August 21

The Fine Arts Center is partnering with the Blacksburg Regional Art Association to host a plein air paintout in and around historic downtown Pulaski. The Town has some interesting architecture dating back to the end of the 19th century downtown as well as in the surrounding neighborhoods, parks and Peak Creek, along with the train station that helped to establish early commerce in the town. The event is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and free to all interested painters. Learn more about the plein air paintout here and register for this FREE event in our shop.

Children’s Art Kits and an Acrylics Class on August 28

Sunflowers in art are the focus of both our FREE Second Saturday Art Café kits as well as a free class in acrylics. If you would like to have your child’s name added to our list for FREE kits, please use this online form. There will be a bonus, in-person class for young painters interested in learning techniques with acrylics. The class will be held at the Center on Saturday, August 28 from 1-3 p.m. Learn more about the class here and register in our Shop.

The Center is participating in the current Shop Small Pulaski event coordinated by the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Lowe’s. The theme is “Summer Spruce Up,” and we have plenty of paintings, prints, and photos in our gift shop to help you add pizzaz to your home or office.
