Butch Robins is in the February Listening Room, and that's not all!

Check out our full schedule of performances through May, with a variety of great musicians performing in our First Friday Listening Room.

This Friday, February 3, we are excited to welcome a celebrated local musician who has made his mark on the music scene across the country. Butch Robins. His influence in the bluegrass world is unparalleled, being one of the longest tenured banjoists for Bill Monroe and The Blue Grass Boys and bassist for the New Grass Revival. He has been one of the busiest of Nashville's freelance banjo players and has performed with big-band leader, Harry James, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, Leon Russell. After his touring days came to a close, Butch has played with the late John Viers, known to many in Pulaski County and for a few years, was a regular participant in the Pulaski Seniors' weekly jam sessions. Butch currently has regularly scheduled appearances at The Blue Ridge Music Center in Galax, Virginia. This is a unique opportunity to spend an evening with a musical legend.

The First Friday Listening Room concerts are FREE, but please reserve a seat on EventBrite. Due to the construction on Main Street, the concerts will be held at the Fine Arts Center at 21 West Main Street in the downtown Historic District. Ample free parking is available behind the Pulaski Theatre (enter on Washington Avenue or Third Street) and please cross Main Street at the light. We will have a reception with light snacks and a cash bar available prior to and during the concert. The concert is scheduled for 6-8 p.m.
