Nashville Recording Artist, Glen Shelton, Headlines Music & Art in Jackson Park

Glen Shelton and his band will perform at our summer music, art, and food event in Jackson Park on Saturday, August 12. Local favorites, The Reflections Band will open the event followed by a performance by the Junior Appalachian Musicians of Greater Pulaski (GRAPe JAM).

We are glad to announce that Nashville recording artist, Glen Shelton and his band, are the featured artists for our summer concert in Jackson Park in Historic Downtown Pulaski on Saturday, August 12. The Fine Arts Center has hosted summer concerts for many years under many names, most recently as “Rhythm & Ribs and Art in the Park.” This year, we are expanding the food offerings and are glad to showcase chart-topping artist Glen Shelton and his band. It will still be a fun day for the family with lots of great food as well as artisan vendors and crafts for kids. This year’s event is from 3-9 p.m.

Glen Shelton has shared the stage with many well-known performers, including Joe Nichols and Jameson Rodgers and opening for Randy Travis. Signed to Jordash Records in Nashville, Glens first national Country music release was Writing You a Love Song. Since then, Glen has continued to record, place songs on the Country Music charts, and perform up and down the East Coast. We’re glad he and his band had the time available to share with us! They will take the stage around 6:30 p.m.

The Reflections Band

Kicking off the performances will be The Reflections Band, a local band some may remember helped us bring concerts back to Jackson Park in 2021. The band is known for playing a range of popular hits that will get your toes tapping and maybe more. Dancing is not only allowed, it’s encouraged! The Reflections Band goes on stage at 3 p.m.

Also sharing the stage will be our own Greater Pulaski Junior Appalachian Musicians. Otherwise known as GRAPe JAM, these young performers learn traditional music, dance, and culture through a voluntary after-school program. GRAPe JAM will perform around 5:30 p.m. All of this plus great food, artists, and crafts for kids are sure to make this an enjoyable day you won’t want to miss.

GRAPe JAM performs at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Together We Rise public art installation earlier this year.
