Mandala Art with Ernie Ross
Join us on Saturday, October 5 from 10:00 a.m. to noon in Pulaski to discover the art of mandala creation. Immerse yourself in this meditative and creative experience as you design your own intricate mandala. Perfect for all skill levels, this workshop offers step-by-step instructions on creating your own Mandala spiral and supplies to continue at home. This workshop is perfect for any level of artist and is open to adults as well as responsible young teens from the age of 13 on up. Register for this Workshop.
October Creative Club
The Creative Club is back in session. The Creative Club is FREE and open to young artists between the ages of 5-12. This month, Creative Clubbers will learn about and create Wish Catchers using natural items! The October Creative Club will meet in Pulaski on Saturday, October 12 from 10:30 a.m. to around noon. Beginning Art Experiences: Learning to See with Linda Hinson
We invite everyone from ages 16 to 100 to join us in Blacksburg for this fun introductory class! Learn how to see like an artist and experiment with a variety of media. Multiple session will explore topics including drawing, mixing colors, colored pencil technique, and more. Please visit our Classes page for details and dates.
Beginning Rigid Heddle Loom with Heather Laing
During this Blacksburg workshop taking place October 23 at 10:15 am we will focus on developing Rigid Heddle Loom basic skills. We will create either a scarf or a runner using plain weave.
Participants will learn how to warp a rigid heddle loom, thread the reed, tie up the loom, wind the weft onto stick shuttle, and create a plain weave.
Collaborative Storytelling for Kids and Teens
Join us in Blacksburg for a four-week program where students will engage in a collaborative storytelling experience inspired by role-playing games. Students will engage in creative collaboration to create game features, the map, characters, and to determine how it’s governed, with the guidance of the instructor. 2D and 3D Needle Felting with Cindy Maitri
Cyndi will work with you at your level of expertise to create the project you desire. This class will be held in Pulaski on Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is perfect for beginners, intermediate, or advanced students. No experience necessary. Beginners will learn the basic skills of dry felting while creating a piece of framable art, approximately 8x12. Choose an image from selections provided by the instructor, or you may bring your own image if you prefer. Register for this workshop.
