The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley is excited to announce an open call for our upcoming exhibition, POLARITY. We invite dynamic works in a variety of mediums that explore the concept of “polarity” and relationships between opposing elements that shape our world. 

The deadline for submission is March 15, 2025, by 11 pm. POLARITY will be on view at the Fine Arts Center from April 5 to May 31, 2025 with an opening reception on April 10 at 5-7pm.

Eligibility

  • “Polarity” is open to all artists 18 years or older.

  • Entered works must be original, hand-crafted, and ready for display.

  • Oil, watercolor, fiber arts, photography, mixed media, sculpture, digital and other forms of art are welcome. We can accommodate up to 80in. height for hanging works.

  • We welcome submissions from any time period, whether newly created or from your past portfolio, as long as it meaningfully engages with the theme of “polarity.”


Entry

  • Artists can submit up to three entries.

  • $10 per entry or three entries for $25 for NONmembers.

  • $5 per entry for Members.

    *Please note that students can become members of the Fine Arts Center for FREE and receive the member discount. Just click here.


Deadlines

  • The deadline for all entries and payment of entry fees is 11 p.m. on March 15, 2025.

  • Artists will be notified of acceptance by Friday, March 21, 2025.


Prizes

  • The Fine Arts Center is pleased to offer a $100 prize for the People’s Choice Award, selected by viewers of the exhibit.
