Mandala is the word for circle in Sanskrit. Mandala Art uses geometric patterns based on circles to create beautiful, personal art. It takes circles to an all new level. Creating Mandala Art can be a soothing, contemplative activity, or you can just have fun! No two Mandalas have to be the same.

Join award-winning artist and teacher, Ernie Ross, for this two-hour workshop to learn how to create your own Mandala Art. Everything you need will be provided, and the only limit is your own imagination.

This workshop is perfect for any level of artist and is open to adults as well as responsible young teens from the age of 13 on up. The workshop will be repeated each month. Feel free to sign up more than once.

Materials Provided:

  • Styluses and dowels. Each participant will receive an assortment to use during class and take home.

  • A 4”x4” square, black canvas.

  • Acrylic paints

  • The Fine Arts Center will provide one plastic circle template (check out the Staedtler version in the pictures) for each participant to use at the Center. To continue at home, you may want to consider purchasing your own. They can be found at most office supply and art stores or any place that sells office supplies, like Walmart, for less than $10. Try to find one with many different sizes of circles, including small ones.
