VCA-Touring Artist Andrew McKnight will be in the First Friday Listening Room on May 3 and Joey Harrington will perform some of his original compositions on piano on May 16.

The Fine Arts Center continues its First Friday Listening Room concert series with Appalachian musician, storyteller, and humorist Jim Lloyd from on March 1.

The Jared Stout Band and Ian Gilliam & the FireKings will be rocking Jackson Park for Rhythm by the Rails. Applications are now open for food vendors, artisan craft vendors, and nonprofit organizations. Apply soon as space is limited.

Award-winning art from students in grades 7-12 from across Southwest Virginia can be seen in the Edna B. Love Gallery at the Fine Arts Center. Be prepared to be amazed!

Beginning in February, anyone who attends the First Friday Listening Room Concert will receive a coupon for 10% off any drink at Mochi’s Café right across the street!

The Center’s new community art exhibit, “Off the Wall,” will launch on November 25, along with kicking off a raffle for a beautiful, handmade quilt designed, crafted, and donated by the Draper Quilt and Art Collective. Also available will be new seasonal items from local artists. Refreshments will be served throughout the day, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Popular local artist, Georgia Randall, will return to the First Friday Listening Room on December 1 for a raucous good time!

Our First Friday Listening Room concert series continues with “Tell Jenny” on November 3 and Georgia Randall on December 1.

Come learn the basics of needle felting or expand upon your existing skill. Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and then again on November 18. Ernie Ross will teach both an Introductory and Intermediate Acrylics class in early 2024.

The Creative Club at the Fine Arts Center is free and open to children ages 5-12. The club hosts a monthly art workshop for children and some special events throughout the year.
